Anxiety attacks and panic attacks are the body’s response to our body in the form of a fight or flight. This is very common and can be quite unpleasant. Panic attacks are caused by an increase in our own anxiety and feelings of doubt that frighten our brains about anything that comes up, before an interview, speaking in public or even going to meet someone. Anxiety triggers our panic attacks, these are side effects of fear and panic that can happen anywhere, almost everyone has had at least 2 panic attacks in their life, panic attacks can happen anywhere. Yes, even if we are not in a troubled situation – those who have experienced violence in their lives, their panic attacks can be triggered by the scent or sound that reminds them of the violence that has taken place on them.
Symptoms:
- Rapid heartbeat
- Sweating
- Shortness of breath
- Sudden tremors
- Sudden shivering or feeling very hot
- Feeling like your throat is shrinking
- Feeling you are fainting or feeling weak and dizzy
- Chest pain or muscle stiffness
- Feels no control on yourself
- Feel nausea or suddenly need to use the toilet
- Feeling intensely scared or confused
- Weakness in the knees
- Feeling hot or a cold chill
- Tingly or numb hands
